INSTRUCTIONS

DURATION: 30 MINUTES

This section allows test takers to listen in on recordings of native English speakers and questions would be answered simultaneously. This test can come in different recording types: 1. A social, everyday discussion between two people. 2. A monologue set in a social setting such as a speech on local facilities. 3. A 4-way conversation set in an educational/training context such as a teacher teaching student, and so on. 4. An academic monologue such as a school lecture. Examiners who would assess test takers want to know the ability to understand concepts in English and pick out important information, attitude, and opinions of speakers. This shows a test taker’s ability to visualize an idea and follow the development of concepts. Important information: 40 questions are set. Each question takes a mark.
